How To Pay Your Taxes

You can make your payment using one of the following convenient options:

Pay By Mail
- Mail your check and payment stub to 2222 M Street, Merced, CA 95340
- Postmark issued by a government post office on or before the stated Due Date to avoid penalty

Pay Online @ www.mercedtaxcollector.org
- Pay with Credit Card (convenience fee applies)
- Pay with E-Check (There is no fee for E-Check payments)
- Payments can be made until midnight Pacific Time on the stated Due Date

Pay By Phone at 1-800-906-7658

- Payments can be made until midnight Pacific Time on the stated Due Date

Pay in Person at the Tax Collector’s office located at 2222 M Street in Merced.
- Make your payment by 5 p.m. (close of business) on or before stated Due Date
- Office hours 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday except holidays

Drop Payment in Los Banos at the County Clerk’s office at 445 I Street, Los Banos (Checks only, no Cash)

- Office hours 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday except holidays

Convenience Fees
If you pay your taxes on-line or by phone, a convenience fee is charged in addition to the property tax amount paid:

The credit card convenience fee is 2.5% of paid taxes.
There is no fee for E-Check payments.
